General Toy Questions
Are Uberrime silicone sex toys "body safe"?
Absolutely. Uberrime toys are made with Smooth-On Platinum Silicone, either Ecoflex™ or Dragon Skin®.
Platinum cure silicone is body safe because it's latex-free, phthalate-free, non-porous (meaning there's no pores for harboring bacteria), and fully hypoallergenic (it won't irritate even sensitive skin.) It can be easily sanitized.
Smooth-On Platinum Silicone has been certified by an independent laboratory as Skin Safe ISO 10993-10 (Biological evaluation of medical devices, Part 10: Tests for irritation and skin sensitization.)
What does the difference in density mean?
Density means the firmness of an object. Uberrime Dildos can vary widely in density, with the softest being our soft and squishy shore 0030 and our firmest shore 16a or sometimes shore 20a.
Generally we suggest that larger designs and fantasy toys are made with softer silicone (0030 or 0050), and slender toys or toys designed for specific pressure such as g-spot or prostate stimulation are made with medium (8a or 12a) to firm (16a) density silicone. We suggest that butt plugs and targeting toys are made with very firm (20a) silicone.
Can you make me a custom toy?
Nearly all Uberrime toys are custom made to order with your choice of colors and density (firmness.) Most of our models have more than one size to choose from.
That being said, our toys are made via pouring silicone into an existing cast mold. We're sorry if you don't like the sizes available, but we cannot make toys with custom dimensions, the process is simply too costly. We don't currently take on personal commissions, make casts of actual human parts (please do not ask or send pictures), or duplicate toys from other artists. Inquiries about custom shapes or dimensions or unsolicited design requests will not receive a response.

What is a Vac-U-Lock port?
Some toys can be ordered with a specially shaped hole in the base where you can attach vac-u-lock accessories such as suction cups and mounts, or fit your toy on vac-u-lock compatible sex machines.
Please note that heavy use of a vac-u-lock port can cause the toy to tear. Use caution to avoid chipping the silicone around the port.
Please note, if a toy is not listed with a vac-u-lock option, it cannot be made with one.
What is a bullet vibrator port?
Some toys can be ordered with a specially shaped hole in the base where you can insert a small bullet vibrator that will add extra stimulation when using your silicone toy.
A vibrator is not included with the port. They are available for purchase in our Accessories section.
We shape our bullet ports after the inexpensive but powerful Blush Novelties Limited Addiction Bullet Vibe. Other bullets may fit, but not as snugly. The port is about 3 inches deep and .83 inches in diameter, with the slanted tip of the bullet vibe facing the front of the toy.
As a general rule, the firmer the silicone, the better the vibrations will travel through the toy. Softer silicones tend to dampen the vibrations.
What kind of lube can I use with Uberrime toys?
Water-based lubricants are the best for the longevity of your toy. We carry Sliquid and Vibeology Pure Lube in our Accessories section.
No not use silicone-based lubricant as it can damage the surface and finish of cured silicone, making the toy difficult to properly clean and thus unsafe to use.
Natural oils such as coconut oil are safe for use with silicone toys as long as you have no allergies to said oils.
How do I wash my Uberrime toy?
While do in fact wash every new toy prior to packaging it, it's a good idea to wash your toy thoroughly before its first use!
Platinum silicone toys can be washed using hot water and unscented anti-bacterial hand soap. If you'd prefer, we have toy cleaner available in our Accessories section.

What if my silicone develops a smell?
Although generally scentless, silicone can in fact retain scents in certain conditions. If your silicone butt plug develops a funky smell, sanitizing it can help.
To eliminate the odor first try soaking the toy in a water and 10% bleach solution. (Rinse thoroughly after.) If the odor persists, place the clean toy in an oven preheated to 350º for about ten minutes. This will usually do the trick! Wash the toy afterward and you should all set.
*Please note, that the oven method may in fact damage dual or triple density toys. Consider instead using 90% isopropyl alcohol to sanitize duals or triples.
Purchase & Shipping
How long will it take to get my order?
When you order from us, you’re getting an individually hand made product. Orders are generally poured and packaged within 3 to 10 business days (that’s Monday through Friday.) Please expect longer wait times during sales or right before holidays, when many customers are ordering at the same time.
After that, shipping speed depends on what option you selected at checkout. Within the US it’s generally 2 to 9 days.
We offer free US shipping for orders over $100. We reserve the right to select the most affordable shipping option and may select a different carrier based on cost.
Please note that orders over $300 may require a signature. If your order is less than $300 but you’d like to add signature confirmation, please use our contact form immediately after placing an order and we will add signature confirmation at no charge.
If you are outside the US, your order will be shipped to you via USPS. International orders generally arrive in 7-20 days, but since there are numerous variables, please anticipate a potential wait of up to 8 weeks and plan ahead if you’re ordering for a special occasion.
We typically ship via USPS First Class International on most international orders, but we reserve the right to select the carrier and service at the time of shipping.
How can I track my order?
After placing an order, you will receive an automated email with your order confirmation.
(With orders placed through the Shop app, subsequent information will be sent to you based on your settings.)
If you do not receive an email or other notifications within 24 hours of placing your order, please check your spam or junk mail folders.
When we ship your order, you will receive another automated email with tracking information. Once a shipping label is created for your order, it may take up to 2 business days for the carrier to actually ship your order.
After the package leaves our studio, the tracking information from the carrier (which you can see from your tracking number) is the only information we have about its whereabouts. We have no control over delays, missed delivery windows, etc. Please keep an eye on your tracking information and reach out to the carrier if you have any concerns about shipping time or delivery.

How long will it take to make and ship my order?
Nearly every order placed on our website is custom made to order and usually takes 3 to 10 business days to make. In inventory “Ready Made” items ship within 2-4 business days if you did not also purchase a custom item (choosing your own colors, density, etc.)
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times are generally:
- North America Economy: 5 - 8 business days
- Priority Mail 2 - 4 business days
- Priority Express 1 - 2 business days
- Canada: 5 - 10 days
- Europe: 2 - 4 weeks
- Elsewhere: 2 to 4 weeks
I do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but I can't guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose.
Is Uberrime shipping discreet?
We respect your privacy! Uberrime uses discreet packaging with no picture logos or product references anywhere on the package. All of our packages are either plain brown boxes or standard issue packaging from the carrier such as USPS Priority Mail boxes.

Does Uberrime know where my package is?
If you want to know where your package is, please check your tracking information. Once your package has been handed to one of our shipping partners such as the USPS, we do not have any information about its whereabouts besides what you can already see through your tracking number.
International Shipping
What items can Uberrime ship internationally?
In countries where it is legal and feasible (see list below), we can ship any of our hand-made silicone products (dildos, grinders, plugs.) We do not offer items that we did not manufacture ourselves, such as Lubes, Harnesses, or Vibrators.
What about customs and import taxes?
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We do not collect taxes or duties for international orders. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.
What does does Uberrime write in the International Shipping Declaration?
We are required by law to list the contents of international parcels on the shipping label. We use the Harmonized Tariff Code 4016.99 which is 'Articles Of Vulcanized Rubber Other Than Hard Rubber, Others.' Otherwise our items are generally listed as “Silicone Sculpture”.
Which countries does Uberrime ship to?
Due to The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) is a new EU law that took effect on December 13, 2024, we are no longer shipping to countries in the EU.
We are currently shipping internationally to a handful of countries:
- Canada
- England - Scotland - Wales
- Norway
- Australia
- New Zealand
Many countries that are not on our list either prohibit our items or have restrictive import policies.
How long does Uberrime international shipping take?
Nearly every order placed on our website is custom made to order and usually takes 2 to 5 business days to make. In inventory “Ready Made” items ship faster.
Shipping times are generally:
- Canada: 5 - 10 days
- Europe: 2 - 4 weeks
- Elsewhere: 2 to 4 weeks

Can I return/exchange my toy?
No. Due to the very personal nature of our products and the fact that they are individually custom made, we do not take returns or and we do not do exchanges.
The most frequent reason customers ask to return a toy is because they realize after unboxing it that they would have preferred a different size. Please read the product specifications and descriptions carefully before choosing a toy.
If there is a problem with your order, such as an unexpected physical defect, please contact us within 5 days of receiving your order. You will be asked to provide a clear, well-lit picture of the issue.
What is your refund policy?
At Uberrime, we understand the importance of customer satisfaction and strive to provide high-quality products. However, due to the personal nature of our items, we have a strict refund policy in place.
Once your order has been shipped, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We encourage you to carefully review the product specifications and descriptions before making a purchase to ensure it meets your requirements.
If you encounter any issues with your order, such as defects or other problems, please contact us immediately. We will gladly assist you and address any concerns you may have.
Please note that we accept order cancellations only if the toy has not been made. Once the production process has begun, we are unable to cancel the order as our items are made to order.
If you notice a defect on your toy, it is important to contact us within five days of receiving your order. We will work with you to resolve the issue and ensure your satisfaction.
We understand that size can be a common reason for return requests. To avoid any sizing issues, we recommend carefully reviewing the product specifications and descriptions before making a purchase.
While we do not accept returns, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our refund policy, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Your satisfaction is our top priority.

Unfortunately, we are not looking for toy testers. We have a team of expert consultants that guide our product development.
